Dear Recipient, I am Prasanta Samadhar, a highly skilled and versatile artist deeply rooted in the realm of Hindustani classical music. Ustad Zakir Hussain himself has lauded me for possessing a voice that resonates with maturity, melody, and enchantment. My musical journey commenced with performances for esteemed figures like Rajiv Gandhi and R Venkataraman at the Rashtrapati Bhavan when I was merely 14 years old. The global stage became witness to my musical prowess during the Shark Taranalaray Festival in Moscow. It was there that my innovative approach to front singing garnered significant attention, adding a unique dimension to my artistry. My education under the tutelage of renowned maestros like Pandit Bhimsen Joshi has enabled me to explore a diverse repertoire ranging from profound ragas to romantic film melodies and fusion compositions. I am honored to have been awarded a National Scholarship in Indian Classical Music and to have been a scholar at the esteemed ITC Sangeet Research Academy. Collaborations with luminaries such as AR Rahman, Lata Mangeshkar, and Asha Bhonsle further adorn my musical journey. Beyond my contributions to the realm of cinema, I lead the fusion band "Silk" and am the founder of the band "Namahaa." This venture seamlessly blends traditional instruments with classical bandish, Sufi tunes, and folk melodies. Noteworthy moments include being chosen by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi as a vocal support artist, nurturing talents like Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, and active participation in well-regarded reality shows. My dedication to popularizing classical music remains steadfast. I am committed to creating transcendent musical experiences, driven by the belief that music stands as the pinnacle of education. With an unwavering resolve and a distinct artistic vision, I, Prasanta A Samadhar, am carving an exceptional path within the world of music. Warm regards, Prasanta Samadhar
